Apple Tamarind Chutney Recipe

Today’s recipe is a spicy, sweet and sour chutney made with sun-kissed ingredients like tamarind and chillies.

For full printable recipe, go to: http://veganlovlie.com/apple-tamarind...

I am using tamarind paste that comes in a block. It is usually available at any Asian or Indian store (or get it online, link below).

I drew inspiration for this apple tamarind chutney from culinary traditions of a spicy tamarind compote known as ‘takkar’ in Mauritius.
Jaggery is my preferred sugar in this recipe. You can find jaggery at Asian or Indian stores and also online.
